                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND CITY
                   FINANCE OFFICER TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST,
                   RESPECTIVELY, AN AGREEMENT WITH TRI-STATE
                   TESTING & DRILLING RELATIVE TO SOIL TESTING
                   SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROVISION OF
                   CONCRETE PAVERS AT THREE INTERSECTIONS IN
                   THE DOWNTOWN AREA, AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED
                   TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY AND NO/100
                   DOLLARS ($2,660.00), WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works and the City Finance Officer be and are hereby
       authorized to execute and attest, respectively, an Agreement with 

       Tri-State Testing & Drilling relative to soil testing services to 

       be provided in connection with the provision of concrete pavers 
at
       three intersections in the downtown area, at a cost not to exceed 

       $2,660.00, without prior approval.
